Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
Your Union bargaining committee met with the Company this afternoon at the main table.
Unfortunately, the Company’s latest offer does not address any of the concerns that CWA members have asked this committee to address. The most important of those issues being jobs and employment security.
The latest offer merely changes some of the economics around wages and benefits to address the inability of the company implementing their planned benefits cost increases on time. This would result in wages being delayed until 30 days after ratification and benefit changes occurring in June of 2019 as opposed to January 2019.
The company further specified that there is no retroactivity with regards to wage increases in their latest offer.
There were no other substantial changes to the latest offer.
Let this committee be clear; after waiting 8 weeks for the Company to decide to make no improvement to their offer on jobs or employment security, we are sorely disappointed and angry.
AT&T needs to invest in CWA members, their employees, and in the communities they serve. AT&T must return work to this bargaining unit from overseas, low wage, low quality contractors to do their part to provide high quality service to their customers and keep the middle class alive in America.
Discussions will continue tomorrow with the Company.
In Solidarity,
