I wanted to remind locals that as a result of conversations in the recent round Bargaining, the company and Union agreed that VSIPP applications will be accepted 7 calendar days from date of surplus declaration. Before this, A VSIPP had to be on file prior to the declared surplus announcement.
So for the current surplus declared on Tuesday September 15th for members within the Design Specialist title, VSIPP application for matching purposes will be accepted until Tuesday September 22nd. for members who want to have the possibility of being offered a VSIPP match with a surplus employee.
