Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Chicago! We appreciate all the wishes of luck. However, the luck of the Irish won’t bring home a fair contract…but, your mobilization will!
This morning the union committee met with the company and they passed proposals related to Article 15 (Job Classifications and Promotions), Appendix A16 (Labor Advisory Forum) and a letter regarding quota relief.
Tentative agreements were reached on Appendix A24 (Surplus Training and Retraining) and Appendix A22 (Proper Use of Union Management Review Board).
The Union passed proposals on Article 11 (Information Sharing), Appendix A35 (Successorship) and Appendix A25 (Regarding Required Overtime).
The Article 26/Staffing Subcommittee also met this morning to continue to stress to the company that CWA members need additional job security!!
This afternoon the union and company met again, and the Union passed proposals on Article 12 (Problem Resolution Procedures) and letters on Intranet Access and Common Attendance Guidelines.
We will not be issuing a report tomorrow. The next bargaining report will be on Monday, March 19.
