I am very proud of all our union members and leaders for their efforts this holiday season. I know this does not capture all of your actions but I wanted to share these highlights.
The South Bend AT&T employees had a great year with the Toys for Tots campaign this year and will be contributing $4,500 worth of new toys on Saturday. This is coordinated through the CWA. It is all from employee giving and coordinated by two of our Premises Technicians at the Prairie garage. Techs were allowed the use of company vehicles for the pick-up of the boxes around our AT&T locations throughout South Bend and to transport the toys back to the garage after the shopping trip. The mobility stores and the AT&T Distribution Center participated in the drive. The attached picture was taken yesterday after the box collection and the purchase of toys from the employee monetary donations. Toys will be displayed in the ready room so that employees can see what was collected as they come in at the end of the day. It has grown each of the last three years and it has been a very positive experience for the team.
In Indiana, our Indianapolis toy drive in 10 of our area stores was highlighted during local ABC TV newscasts last night and this morning, and also online.
