AT&T workers go on strike, locally and nationally

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Union workers in Lafayette are on strike at the AT&T cellphone store over contract negotiations.

The Communications Workers of America union says up to 40,000 AT&T workers have started walking off the job.

Wireless workers want wage increases that cover higher healthcare costs, better scheduling and promises from the company to not cut jobs.
